Empowering Your
Educational Journey

The Laguerre Mesadieu Foundation is a community-based initiative founded by Esther Laguerre Mesadieu and Esly Mesadieu, first-generation college graduates, incoming Law School and Medical school student who grew up in Guntersville, Alabama after immigrating from Haiti. Inspired by our own journeys and the growing Haitian population in the Guntersville–Albertville area, our foundation is dedicated to empowering Haitian immigrants—particularly youth and young adults—with the tools, guidance, and confidence to pursue higher education and develop leadership skills. Our mission is rooted in the belief that education and civic engagement are key to building a thriving and self-sufficient Haitian-American community in the United States.
